Instead of the typical face mounted cam lock, we use a plunge style lock that locks the drawer box not the drawer face. This is a much better way to insure a more securely lock drawer. If you try and hammer this lock, it will only be pushed deeper into the drawer. This was installed in a master walk in closet located in Malibu California. The drawer faces in this closet are a beaded shaker thermo-foil. The drawers are on 100lb full extension ball bearing slides.
